Making changes
to minimize our environmental impact.
We’ve learned a lot, but we’re striving to learn and do more to minimize our environmental impact. Below are a few steps we've already taken:
- We’ve minimized our paper products. At times it’s important to provide our consumers with promotional items that they can take with them. But we have consciously made an effort to do more online advertising by using e-flyers, electronic advertisements and PDFs.
Look for the green ribbon on most of are printed promotional items. It's a reminder to recycle them when you’ve stored our contact information electronically.
- We’ve reduced our packaging distribution. For our clients who request them, CDs containing their design files are available. However in most cases we’ve found that in addition to being more eco-friendly it’s also faster and more cost-effective to make final design files available in our online file folder or via ftp our ftp server.
- We’ve added more green certified printers to our database. To locate environmentally friendly printers click on the “resources” link. We encourage our clients to use printers and businesses that are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (http://www.fscus.org) and/or Green Seal Certified ( http://www.greenseal.org/getcertified/ index.cfm). Business owners who are interested in being certified through either of these organizations can visit their web sites to get more information.
- We’re recycling more. We visited Earth 911 and found a local recycler who recycles common office items, like paper, toner cartridges, plastic water bottles and more.
